Cookie Policy
What Shoot stores in your browser and on your device, what it is for, and how to control it.
1. What this covers
This Cookie Policy explains what Shoot stores in your browser and on your device when you use tryshoot.com and the Shoot apps, what each item is for, and how you can control it. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
“Cookies” here means cookies and similar storage: browser local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and the equivalent storage inside the iOS and Android apps.
2. Strictly necessary
Sign-in session: Firebase Authentication keeps you signed in between visits. It is stored in your browser's IndexedDB and local storage, and in the app's own storage on a phone. Without it you would be signed out on every page.
Connecting a social account: when you connect TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, a short-lived cookie holds the state of that sign-in so the callback can be matched to your request. It expires within minutes.
Security and abuse prevention: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set cookies needed to serve the site securely and to protect it from automated abuse.
3. Preferences
Local storage keeps choices such as your theme (light or dark), which workspace you last used, the chat you were reading, drafts of a campaign or a message so they are not lost, the posts you have already seen in the feed, and whether you dismissed a notice like this one.
These stay on your device only and are never sent to us as a profile of you. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
4. Analytics and advertising
Shoot does not use advertising cookies and does not run third-party analytics cookies. Product analytics events (for example that a campaign was created) are sent to our own servers against your account, as described in the Privacy Policy, not through a tracking cookie.
5. Third-party content
Some pages embed a YouTube player to show a video. When such a player loads, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies on its own domain under Google's privacy policy. Shoot does not control those cookies. The player only loads on pages where a video is shown.
Payments are handled by our payment providers on their own pages or in their own embedded fields, which may use cookies under their own policies.
6. Your choices
You can clear or block storage in your browser's settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage will stop sign-in from working.
In the iOS and Android apps, deleting the app removes its storage. Signing out removes the sign-in session.
