Getting started
What Shoot is and how to make your first dollar.
What is Shoot?
Shoot is a clipping campaign marketplace that connects brands with creators. Brands fund short-form video campaigns; creators post clips and earn based on the views those clips get.
How does Shoot work?
A step-by-step overview of how Shoot works for creators and brands: joining campaigns, posting clips, tracking views, and getting paid for performance.
Is Shoot legit and safe?
Yes — Shoot is a real platform. Campaign budgets are funded up front and held until work clears, creators and brands are verified, and every fee is shown before you confirm.
How to start earning on Shoot as a creator
Getting started as a creator on Shoot: create an account, verify a social account, join a funded campaign, post your clip, and submit the link to start earning.
Do you need a minimum follower count?
No. Shoot has no minimum follower requirement. You get paid on the views your clips earn, not the size of your audience — so any creator can join campaigns and earn.
Getting paid
Per-view pay, bonuses, and the 72-hour payout cycle.
How do you get paid on Shoot?
You earn based on the views your approved clips get. Earnings are paid into your wallet every 72 hours, finalise over a 72-hour hold, and you withdraw to your bank or as USDT crypto.
How much can you earn on Shoot?
Beginner clippers on Shoot typically make $500–$1,000 a month, the average clipper $2,000–$3,000, and good clippers $5,000–$10,000. Experienced full-time clippers run $10,000–$25,000 a month. Campaigns pay per 1,000 views (CPM), as milestone bonuses, or both.
When do you get paid? The 72-hour payout cycle
Shoot pays you every 72 hours from when your clip is approved — you don't wait for the campaign to end. Each payout then finalises over a 72-hour hold before it's withdrawable.
What do Accumulating, Pending and Available mean?
On your Submissions page each clip's money moves through three states — Accumulating, Pending, and Available — so you always know what's withdrawable and what's still on the way.
What are milestone bonuses?
Milestone bonuses are fixed payouts a campaign pays when your clip crosses a view mark — for example a set bonus at 100k views. The full bonus unlocks at your next 72-hour payout.
Why did my earnings change or get reversed?
Earnings track live view counts, so they can move as counts settle. They can also be adjusted or reversed for fake or manipulated views, duplicate or stolen content, chargebacks, refunds, or campaign reconciliation.
Per-video caps and minimum view thresholds
Campaigns can set a maximum a single video can earn and a minimum number of views before it earns anything. Below the minimum a clip earns nothing; once it crosses, it earns on its full view count — not just the views above the line.
How often are views updated?
Shoot re-checks a clip's views about once an hour for its first 24 hours, then roughly every two hours while it's still earning. Clips that have finalised — capped, ended, or budget-spent — refresh about every 12 hours, so the number you see on Shoot can lag the platform slightly.
Withdrawals & fees
Bank vs crypto, the $10 minimum, and every fee.
How to withdraw your earnings
Withdraw any amount from $10 on your Earnings page, to your bank via Wise (USD, GBP, EUR) or as USDT crypto on Ethereum. You'll see the exact amount you'll receive before you confirm.
What are Shoot's fees?
Joining, posting, and earning are free. Withdrawals carry Shoot's 7% platform fee plus the payout provider's transaction fee (bank transfer fee or crypto network gas). Both are shown before you confirm.
What's the minimum withdrawal on Shoot?
The minimum withdrawal on Shoot is $10. Earnings below that stay safely in your wallet until you cross the line, and there's no limit on how many withdrawals you can make.
How long do withdrawals take?
Bank transfers via Wise usually arrive within 1–3 business days after approval. USDT crypto payouts are sent by hand by the Shoot team, usually within one business day.
Withdrawing to your bank (Wise)
Shoot pays bank withdrawals through Wise in USD, GBP, or EUR. Set up your bank details on your Earnings page; transfers usually arrive within 1–3 business days after approval.
Withdrawing USDT crypto (and the wrong-address warning)
Shoot pays crypto withdrawals in USDT on the Ethereum network, sent by hand by the team, usually within one business day. Double-check your address — a wrong address means funds are permanently lost.
How auto-withdraw works
Turn on auto-withdraw and Shoot sends each payout to you automatically once it clears its 72-hour pending hold — so you don't have to withdraw manually each time.
What currencies can I withdraw in?
Bank withdrawals via Wise support USD, GBP and EUR. Crypto withdrawals are USDT on the Ethereum network only. Your balance is held per currency, so each currency reaches the $10 minimum on its own.
Do you pay tax on clipping earnings?
In most countries yes — money earned from clipping is normally self-employment or miscellaneous income and it's your responsibility to declare it. Shoot doesn't withhold tax from your payouts, so what lands in your account is gross, not net of tax.
Campaigns & clips
Joining campaigns, submitting links, approvals.
How to join a campaign
Browse live, funded campaigns on Discover or the public Marketplace, read the guidelines, and join with one click — no application and no minimum followers.
How to submit a clip
Post your clip on one of the campaign's allowed platforms, then paste the post link inside the campaign's submission window. Shoot warns you if the link doesn't match an allowed platform.
What does the Funded badge mean?
The green Funded badge means the campaign's full budget is already deposited with Shoot and held until approved work clears — so the money is there before you post.
Why was my clip rejected?
Brands review each submission and can approve, reject, or ask for a resubmission. A rejection should come with a clear reason — usually the clip didn't follow the campaign's content rules or platform requirements.
Can I submit the same video to two campaigns?
No. Each post can only ever be submitted once across the whole of Shoot — the first submission claims that video, and any later attempt to submit it, to any campaign by any account, is refused. Post a new video for each campaign.
What happens when a campaign's budget runs out?
The campaign closes to new submissions and every approved clip stops earning — paid views freeze at their last reading. You keep everything you've already earned, and it's released on the normal payout cycle. The clip that crosses the line is paid up to whatever budget was left.
For brands
Launching, funding, and paying out campaigns.
How to launch a campaign (for brands)
Build a campaign in the wizard — basics, budget, platforms & pay, content rules, access & proof — then fund it. Creators post clips, you approve them from a real-time queue, and you pay only for approved performance.
How campaign funding and escrow works
Brands fund a campaign's budget up front and those funds are held until creators' approved work clears. Approved creators are paid automatically, and unspent budget is never charged.
CPM vs milestone payouts
Shoot campaigns can pay per 1,000 views (CPM) or as fixed milestone bonuses for crossing view marks — and you can set rates or milestones per platform.
What's the minimum campaign budget?
The minimum budget to launch a campaign on Shoot is $500. You only pay for approved views, so unspent budget is never charged.
How to end a campaign (and what happens to unspent budget)
Funded campaigns are ended, not deleted: new submissions stop instantly, existing clips get up to 7 days to finish counting views, then the unspent budget returns to your Shoot wallet.
The brand wallet: deposits, returned budgets, and withdrawals
Your Shoot wallet holds money you deposit plus unspent budget returned from ended campaigns. Fund campaigns from it instantly with no extra fee; withdrawals go through support back to your original payment method.
How agencies run campaigns for clients
Agencies get their own page on Shoot: one creator community, a separate campaign per client, each funded by that client, with payouts, view verification and per-client reporting handled for you. No software retainer and no per-seat pricing.
Referrals
Earn a cut when friends you invite start earning.
Trust & safety
Verification, sanctions, and the data we hold.
How account and identity verification works
Shoot verifies your social accounts (by bio code or a connected account) so brands can trust your posts, and verifies your identity with a government-ID check before your first withdrawal.
Which countries can use Shoot payouts?
Shoot payouts and accounts aren't available in countries subject to international sanctions. The full, regularly-reviewed list is in the Terms of Service.
What data does Shoot collect and why?
Shoot collects account details, your country, payout details, and view-tracking data — used to pay you, screen for sanctions, and meet tax-reporting obligations. Bank details are stored only in masked form.
How audience analytics work on Shoot
On campaigns that ask for them, you screen-record your post's own analytics — the view count and where your viewers are — and that releases the clip's payout. You can send them the moment they appear, and you're only ever required to once a clip has earned.
What happens if you're removed from a Shoot?
A brand can remove a creator from its Shoot. You lose access to that community and its campaigns and can't rejoin, and your approved clips there stop earning — but earnings you'd already accrued are kept and still pay out on the normal cycle. Any submission still awaiting review is declined.
Account & platforms
Supported apps, connecting accounts, settings.
Which platforms does Shoot support?
Shoot campaigns run on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X (Twitter), and Facebook. Each campaign lists which of these platforms it allows.
How to verify your social accounts
Verify each social account before submitting clips on it — usually by placing a bio code on your profile that Shoot reads back, or by connecting the account, so brands can trust your posts and views.
What are Shots?
Shots are Shoot's community points — one balance that is both your spendable chips and your rank. Shots are separate from real earnings and money; they power community activity, not payouts.
