Data deletion

Delete your account and data

You can delete your Shoot account yourself in the app, or ask us to do it by email. Either way, deletion is permanent.

1. In the app (fastest)

  1. 1. Open Settings from the menu.
  2. 2. Tap Account security.
  3. 3. Tap Delete account at the bottom, type DELETE, and confirm with the code we email you.

Deletion runs on our servers and takes effect immediately: your sign-in, profile and personal data are removed in the same request, and you are signed out on every device. If you are signed in on the web, the same steps are at tryshoot.com/settings.

2. By email (if you can't sign in)

Email us from the address on your account, or tell us the email and username you used, and we will delete it for you.

Email contact@tryshoot.com

We confirm within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm you own the account before we act.

3. What is deleted

Your sign-in, your profile (name, username, photo, bio, birthday, country), your connected social accounts and their verification records, your notification devices, your Shoot community pages if you are a brand, and your saved preferences.

4. What is kept, and why

Records we are required to keep, or that other people have a claim on, are retained in a form that no longer identifies you where possible: payout and payment records, invoices and ledger entries (tax and accounting law, typically 6–7 years); campaign submissions and their review decisions, because the brand that paid for them needs its own records; messages you already sent in community chats and group chats, which remain in those chats; and fraud-prevention records where an account was banned. Everything else goes.

Withdraw any cleared earnings before you delete: a deleted account cannot sign in to withdraw them, so the app will not let you delete while you have a withdrawal in progress, a withdrawable balance, or (for brands) a live campaign or wallet balance. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
