Refund Policy
When money paid into Shoot is returned, to whom, how, and how long it takes. The full rules are in the Terms of Service and the Earnings Terms; where they differ, those govern.
1. Who this applies to
Brands and businesses pay money into Shoot to fund campaigns. Creators earn money from those campaigns and withdraw it. This policy explains when money paid in is returned, and when it is not.
Shoot is free to join for creators: there is no subscription, listing or membership fee to refund. A creator's only charge is the withdrawal fee, itemised before every withdrawal.
2. Campaign funding (brands)
Everything you fund becomes campaign budget. Budget is only spent on submissions you approve; you can pause or end a campaign at any time.
Unspent budget from an ended campaign is returned to your Shoot balance less the 7% platform fee, and can be put into another campaign at no further fee.
If you would rather take unspent funds out of Shoot altogether, contact support and we return them to your original payment method. Platform fees already incurred — on creator payouts and on returned budget — are not refundable; the remaining balance is.
Refunds go to the original payment method only. They usually appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider's own timescales, and the provider may apply its own fees or exchange rates.
3. What is not refundable
Money already earned by a creator on an approved submission is not refundable to the brand, including while it is still inside its clearing period. If you believe a submission was fraudulent or its views were manipulated, flag it through the review tools and we will investigate before the payout clears.
Platform fees already charged are not refundable.
Raising a chargeback with your card provider instead of contacting support may result in your campaigns being paused and your account suspended while the dispute is resolved.
4. Creator earnings and withdrawals
Earnings are not a purchase, so they are not refunded; they are withdrawn. Cleared earnings can be withdrawn once they reach the $10 minimum, with the fees shown before you confirm.
Earnings can be adjusted or reversed where a submission is found to be fraudulent, manipulated or in breach of the rules, as described in the Earnings Terms.
A withdrawal sent to a bank account you entered incorrectly, or a crypto payout sent to a wrong wallet address or network, cannot be recovered, and Shoot is not liable for funds lost this way. Check the details before you confirm.
5. How to request a refund
Email contact@tryshoot.com from the address on your Shoot account with the campaign name and the amount. We reply within 2 business days and, where a refund is due, start it within 5 business days of confirming it.
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
